In line with CAVS-E's focus to provide its engineering interns with exposure to the manufacturing industry, Billy Peacock, CAVS-E Associate Director, and the Summer 2024 engineering interns attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 15,000 square foot addition to the Lockers Manufacturing facilities in Batesville, MS. Lockers Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer and distributer of quality lockers, serves a diverse clientele including Fortune 500 companies, public and private schools, government offices, and sports arenas. The ceremony included a plant tour and featured remarks from U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, Mississippi Manufacturers Association president John McKay, and Panola Partnership director of economic development Joe Azar.

CAVS-E Interns receive engineering training and assist in projects that provide technical support for manufacturing-related industries. These interns work closely with the experienced engineers at CAVS-E, contributing to various engineering activities, training initiatives, and technical assistance projects within the industry. We are excited to have Hunter, Britton, and Rajnish on board and look forward to providing them with more opportunities to gain project experience with Mississippi manufacturers.
