McCall among MSU engineers to earn PhD

Tonya Pleshette Gamblin McCall was among more than 70 Ph.D. graduates recognized by Mississippi State University at its December 2022 hooding ceremony. She is currently the director of MSU's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems-Extension. McCall earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. McCall has over 25 years of combined experience in aerospace, plant construction, home appliance, and automotive industries and is an experienced engineer in all areas of the product life cycle. Her dissertation entitled "Developing an Early Life Cycle Manufacturability Assessment for Conceptual Designs" exemplifies her background in the design and manufacturing realms.
