CAVS-E Student Interns Bailey Martin and Daniel Beuker listen in on discussion implementing a Kanban system.

As part of the Advancement in Manufacturing Upskilling Program (AiM UP), CAVS-E is offering internships for MSU students to gain valuable work experience and learn how the application of technology and theoretical knowledge can be applied in practice to solve manufacturing problems. In support of CAVSE's focus on providing engineering training and technical support to manufacturing-related industries, two interns, Bailey Martin and Daniel Beuker have joined the CAVS Extension team for the spring semester. These interns collaborate closely with the seasoned engineers at CAVSE, contributing to various engineering activities, training initiatives, and technical assistance projects within the industry. Working out of the CAVSE main office in Canton, MS, Bailey and Daniel have dedicated the initial portion of their spring semester to visiting companies and actively participating in projects such as implementing Kanban systems. We are excited to have them on board and eagerly anticipate providing more opportunities for them to gain project experience with Mississippi manufacturers.
