Three participants of CAVS-E's Manufacturing Skills Development Bootcamp training recently obtained Level 1 Certification. These three individuals, along with a group of other participants, completed the introductory workshop on Project Management & Facilitation Skills developed for the Enhancing Manufacturing Skills for Mississippians (EMSM) grant program funded by the U.S. Dept. of Labor and administered by the Mississippi Dept. of Employment Security as part the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Program. The Project Management & Facilitation Skills workshop is designed to help with understanding the key processes of project management and the facilitation of teams to meet company objectives.
The Basic-Level 1 Certification requires completion of Financial Fundamentals, 8D Root Cause Problem Solving, and Project Management & Facilitation Skills. Three levels of certification are available through a variety of EMSM training workshops that help participants gain the skills necessary for advanced manufacturing jobs.
